As holders of the Allianz Catastrophe Response Contract, we know that readiness and response to an event is of key importance.

We are aware of the need to proactively coordinate and respond to customer needs and retain Allianz and their brand central to our response.

M+J Builders are experienced with onsite guidance through the repair process through make safes, tree removals and repair methodology on properties.

Our Insurance Services Program includes

24/7 Out of hours response

We offer a 24/7 out of hours response for emergency make safe works. This service is utilised by Allianz, TIO as well as Crawford & Co Loss Adjusters and Body Corporates. Trades are on standby to attend to any emergency works, boarding up, glazing, water extraction as well as electrical isolation.

Building Reinstatement

We provide a full range of repair services from minor reinstatement works to large, complex commercial projects.

Catastrophe Response

We have management of the TIO / Allianz Catastrophe response program. Teams provide catastrophe response to coordinate make safes as well as reinstatement including large clean up operations as was provided to City of Darwin following Tropical Cyclone Marcus.

Drone technology and 3D / 4K virtual tours of major loss projects

We can provide drone technology for use in major loss claims. We are currently exploring the use of 3D / 4K photography to provide virtual tours through major loss claims to provide insurers with a full, interactive overview of property damages without the requirement for insurers to attend site.

Mitigation Works

We are equipped to conduct mitigation works with wet vacs, dehumidifiers and moisture readers in order to respond to events where emergency mitigation works are required.

Roof Reporting 

Our team can provide roof reporting with either physical onsite inspection or by utilising drone technology as required.

Causation Reports

We are able to provide causation reports to insurers and adjusters with the assistance of specialist sub-contractors, electrical, plumbing and engineering as required.

Ozone Cleaning

We are able to provide Ozone cleaning of properties, domestic and commercial, post damage in order to remove bacteria and carcinogens and leave the property with a fully sanitised and clean finish.

ENData

We use ENData daily for insurers and as such are set up and equipped on the system in order to provide reporting and quoting submission to insurers.

Statewide Response

We have a satellite office in Alice Springs and are able to provide services statewide including rural and remote works.

Mould Removal

Through our trade network, we are able to inspect, provide guidance on mould removal and arrange for microbial sign off on completion of works.

M+J Insurance Claims

In the event of damage being sustained at properties, we are able to quote for necessary repairs for insurance purposes.

Comment on causation

We can offer advice on how to itemise damages and also provide recommendations on required maintenance.

CASE STUDY

Medical Centre Rebuild in Lajamanu

The Katherine West Health Board Medical Centre in the remote community of Lajamanu was damaged severely by fire. M+J Builders were awarded reinstatement works via insurer TIO (Allianz).


The project was completed with the Community Development Program (CDP) which aims to support job seekers in remote parts of Australia to build skills and contribute to their communities across a range of industries. M+J donated remaining building materials to CDP, including iron roofing panels and cupboards.


Scope of works:


  • Rebuild of ambulance bay
  • Roofing works
  • Internal fitout including removal and replacement of all mechanical services
OUR PROCESS

We provide a full reporting and investigation service for insurance and body corporate companies.

We attend the property in question, take photographs of any resultant damages and compose;
  • a detailed report of the events surrounding the claim
  • a causation for the claim
  • a list of all observed damages in relation to the event
  • a full scope of works for the rectification of all resultant damages.
When works are awarded from the insurance or body corporate companies, we conduct the repairs specified in our scope of works and on completion we get the insured, tenant or body corporate representative to sign off, stating repairs have been conducted to their satisfaction. In the cases of multiple dwellings underneath the same body corporate, we are able to provide services for all dwellings affected.
