About you
As a Site Supervisor, you play a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of on-site construction operations. You are responsible for coordinating and managing daily activities on the construction site, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and regulatory standards. This role also involves leading on-site teams, promoting a strong safety culture, and upholding high-quality workmanship throughout all phases of the project.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction operations, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate and schedule activities to meet project timelines.
- Lead and manage on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and laborer's.
- Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
- Enforce quality control measures to meet or exceed project specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet quality standards.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety meetings and inspections, addressing any safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain effective communication with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
- Manage the delivery, storage, and usage of construction materials and equipment on-site.
- Ensure proper inventory control and timely procurement of materials.
- Address on-site challenges promptly and efficiently, proposing solutions to unforeseen issues.
Educational Requirements and Relevant Experience
- General construction induction training card - White Card
- At least 2 - 3 years within the Construction Industry
- Drivers license
- Cert III in Carpentry or similar
- Medical Clearance
- Police Check
- Current Immunization record
- Working with Children Check – OCHRE Card
